A concept design for a set I'm designing for my final year project at university; designing a film adaption of Tad Williams' War of the Flowers.

It is meant to house a 'capacitor', a human sized fairy whose mana/energy is sucked out to provide power The City.

The idea evolved in my mind that the subject would levitate in mid-tube with the force of the extraction procedure and that a set of 'collectors' (the disk thingies) would collect the energy and transfer it to the energy store (which I'm sure looks like a warp drive in my sketches)

This design took about 2 hours and suprised me when it started to become deco. I think the next version will be more ornate, scrolling etc on the panels and a leafy look to the 'collectors'.
